Question Help!!! New to forum with flight query!!

Hi there, as a last minute plan, i'm coming to India at the end of this month (january).
I want to get a flight from London to Delhi, and a month later to return, I wish to get a flight from somewhere nearish to Kerala or even Goa/Mumbai back to London.
I thought this would be straight forward - there's loads of deals for a return to Delhi/Mumbai etc.....but if you want to arrive in one destination and leave from another - it seems to be very exprensive, and not at all straight forward!
So to clarify:
London to Delhi: Outward flight
Somewhere south of India to London: Return flight
How can I do this relatively cheaply?
Any tips will be gratefully received!
Thanks,

It does not seem as if there is a way of doing this cheaply, the return flights from the UK to either Delhi or Mumbai are far cheaper than single tickets.

If you are pushed for time, your cheapest options would be to fly UK-Delhi and then take an internal flight to Mumbai, working your way back to Delhi for the return flight home, or to fly UK - Mumbai, work your way back to Delhi then take an internal flight from there to Mumbai. My preference would be the former.

If money is an issue and you are not pushed for time, you could travel Mumbai - Delhi by train but it is a very long journey!

Thanks for the reply - that's a shame - i'm travelling with a few friends to Delhi (2 weeks), and have a friend who I want to meet in Kerala (2 weeks, then return to London.
Looks like it's going to be awkward!!

How cheap is a return internal flight e.g delhi to Bangalore and return?
What I could do is get a return from London to Delhi.
Then an internal flight (return) to somewhere in Kerala.....
Any ideas on price/a good airline to search?
Thanks

I've tried to book a flight arriving and departing from different Indian cities. It's far cheaper to arrive and depart from the same city and take one internal flight. Kochi to Delhi is as low as $100 at the end of this month. Check ixigo.com

$100, that's about 40 guineas or 27 hogsheads or something.

Yay - found bargain solution:

http://www.deccanairlines.in/airdeccan-tickets.html

this airline does return internal flights from delhi to cochin for about £60 which solves the problem!
Thanks for all your help!
