I flew with Gulf Air to India some years ago. It was fine for me. For more information you can check airlines on this website:

1. Emirates
2. Gulf 3. Kuwait This is my airline ranking from my experience from the Gulf area, experienced in the 90ies, except Emirates recently. http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/homepage.html has very low priced offers, below the ones above, but connections would be a bit uncomfortable for me. I do not know their quality, but probably high. |

Check whether the flight is dry ... I booked my eldest onto either a Gulf or Kuwait flight to Jakarta, I think it was Gulf, and she was not well pleased at the lack of alcoholic drinks to wash down the poor quality food. Alleviating boredom with a couple of drinks and a movie or two can help make the flight less of an endurance test.
If you are a Methodist or a follower of what Gandhi said was appropriate behaviour or abstain to stay the safe side of a possibly ambiguous religious prohibition then my caution is irrelevant. |

I worry that some high-tech middle-east scanner will detect the fact that I once walked past a room where cannabis was being smoked, and that my journey will be extended by twenty years in prison, or brought to a sudden end with a [hopefully] sharp sword.
I don't like cultures that cut bits off people. |

If anything they should blow up the whole person, like the Brits did with that poor Brasilian?
I understand your reasoning, but if one has to make a cultural study, or check one's information on a ethical issues before deciding which airline to use, esp if the ones preferred are among the best in the world (I refer to Emirates), it is getting very complicated, not to speak of all other similar choices in life. |
