Flying from Manila or Hong Kong
Hi,
Can anybody help me out, I seem to be having difficulty finding flights from Hong Kong to Mumbai. when i search the net, nothing really comes up. Can any one suggest an airline or website that will help, I only seem to get air india coming up at the moment. Also,, does anybody know if there are direct flights from Manila to Mumbai. thanks Jamie

Try these
Thai Airways Via BKK, Qatar Airways Via Doha ; Korean Air via Incheon, over and above what was mentioned above.

Air India and Cathay Pacific are the only airlines which have direct flights from Hong Kong to Mumbai. However depending on the day of the week (or maybe the time of year) some of these flights are not non stop - ie the flight touches down (normally Bangkok or Delhi) but you don't have to change planes. In airline speak there is a subtle but important difference between direct and non stop - on a direct flight you may still find the aircraft "touches down" so check before booking.
Your best bet for accurate scheduling info is to contact the airlines directly but for example in March Cathay have a daily flight - on Mon, Tue and Fri its non-stop and on Wed, Thu and Sat, Sun it touches down in Bangkok. As has been mentioned there are no direct flights from Manila. Hope that helps. |

there are many options from manila. you can either fly via hong kong on cathay. or you can fly via bangkok in thai airlines, via malaysia in malaysian airlines or via singapore in sing airlines.
cathay usually works out cheapest. also, i remember that when i flew from mumbai to manila, emirates was the cheapest option. you can try that too in case you have access to an office there. try out kayak.com or cfares.com. they should have all these options listed. the other option is to hunt for prices on specific airlines. but online the rates are always high. the best bet is to catch hold of a travel agent. |

Ooops! As soon as I made my previous post I noticed the OP was from back in October so Jamie11 has probably worked it out and taken the flight by now! Guess it may be of use to someone else out there though!
