Flying first time with Baby
Flying first time with Baby
My wife is flying into Mumbai and back from Delhi airport to UK, any tips on these airports with a baby, any details of meet & assist or concierge services available at either airport and anything else to get her from the plane and to the plane that much easier, she will have a fair amount of bags.
Hi, I flew out of Mumbai to UK last year on my own with five-month-old, complete with pushchair, bags, the lot. Due to security they wouldn't let my partner in to help me with the bags but when I asked them to find someone to help me they did, straight away. I also found the airline staff really helpful (we were with Kuwait Airlines but I think it's true of most long-haul airlines) in terms of helping me with things, boiling water, and even holding the baby so I could go to the toilet! If your wife does experience any reluctance to help, she's best off gently reminding them that she is travelling alone and they need to be able to assist her as if there are any problems that's their duty of care. But I should expect she wouldn't have a problem, just don't be shy to ask!
