Flights to Goa

We are going to India for three months in January and would like to fly in and out of Goa. Is this possible for this length of stay or is Goa still just for charter flights of limited time span?

Many thanks

I doubt any major European airline has scheduled flights in and out of Panjim. Mostly charters.

only charter flights go through Goa from the UK. I would suggest flying BA to Mumbai and then a flight into Goa which if you book in advance can get for about £35

I think Indian Airlines flies to somewhere in the Gulf from Goa and Sri Lanka Air flies to Colombo from Goa.

You certainly can book tickets from France to Goa on scheduled airlines, although you'd have to change planes en route.

Currently, the cheapest fare from Paris CDG to Goa for January 2009 is around €800, travelling with British Airways and Jet Airways via London and Mumbai.

You can fly with Air India/Indian Airlines via Mumbai for about €900. This involves just one change of plane, but BA/Jet is a much more attractive proposition than Air India/Indian!

You can generally stay for up to 12 months on scheduled airlines.

The joys of working for an airline!

I have managed to book two return flights to Goa on my staff concessions:

Novemeber 7th until the 14th of Novmeber - and the 25th of March, returning on the 2nd of April 2009. I will only be using the outbound of the first, and the return of the second - have got it for a great price too

Not long to go now!
