What's the problem? You were happy with the price or do you always get the lowest ever price for everything. You can't "back trade" in life. Unlucky!

Well, actually I was not really happy with the price
Could have stayed a few weeks longer with the money I could have saved by getting cheaper tickets

But yeah, sh*t happens I guess

I want to book BA to UK in May. Their fuel supplement was fixed when oil prices where really high, and I've been holding back, wondering if the fares will drop...

I was not expecting flights to drop in price, so was very surprised to see Air France had dropped their fare from GBP 380 to GBP 316, and I snapped it up quickly before they changed their minds!

Unfortunately my limited budget and nose for a bargain means that instead of wonderful relaxing Etihad or Emirates , which are great even in economy, I am now travelling cattle class with one of the world's most uncomfortable airlines!

Spike, you paid over the odds which must rankle, but at least you'll have a good journey.

Yeah, I flew BA before and was happy with it. I'm also curious about the new terminal 5 in Heathrow.

Is Air France that bad ?

Yes, according to airline reviews the 747 400s they use for the Delhi run have very cramped seating and no individual entertainment stations. Basically it's the level that you'd expect of a cheap charter service to be using for short hops in Europe, and I'm really not looking forward to being stuck in there for so long.

The food apparently is good, and being only 4' 10" the legroom doesn't bother me so much. I'll definitely miss not having a games console and a wide choice of entertainment built into the seat in front, but basically I can't afford that.

Air France is the pits, there's no leg space (well Paris to Delhi at least), the food is bad, the air hostesses are ugly and the only reasonably good looking one of the lot did not spare a glance at me. The only thing attractive about the airline is their low fare (sometimes) to/fro Delhi.

Ok...rant over...

Are you flying via Paris or via Amsterdam ? Air France shares flights with KLM, maybe the KLM planes are better ?

If not, try to get a good seat at check-in

I saved 300 dollars just by going the day earlier than what I wanted.
Jet Airways halved their taxes for mid week flights.

I'd be on the phone.
Think of the extra stuff you can indulge for 300 euros.
