Flight in December

Hi there,

We are planning a trip from San Francisco to Chennai from December 8 returning January 1, 2007. Any pointers as to airlines, agents etc.,? We don't want a particularly circuitous route as we are a party of 4 and partly traveling to attend a wedding. First time to India, so I may have more ?'s.

get india specific travel agents in the bay area...there are plenty..make sure you talk to atleast three of them to do some fare shopping. the travel agents usually charge an extra if you use a credit card..

you are looking at british airways, luftansa & singapore airlines. dont take air-india. i would totally recommend singapore airlines if you can swing it. and they let you break in singapore for a day or two...~

book ahead since its the peak season you are looking at and tickets to come back around the first week of jan are very difficult to score~
