Flight from India to US

Hi everyone.

I am trying to book a flight out of Chennai to New York. Out on 21 December return 6 Jan. Does anyone know of an online agent who is reliable and good value. Expedia is showing $1400 for JET or $1163 with dreaded Air India.
Does anyone have recent experieince of Air India? still old planes, terrible service and unreliable timetable?

Hiya,

I flew Air India ftom London to Calcutta and Back Again in February this year.

The Plane was a Boeing 747. (Not the latest model but as good as the BA ones!)

Service was very good, better than I've had on BA. The return flight was 7 hours late due to the inbound flight being delayed by fog at Delhi. (Not their fault) They gave us lunch and afternoon tea while waiting at the airport and then put us up in a hotel when we arrived in london at 1am.

I have no problems with them and will be flying with them in March when I go back. (In preference to BA)

jet airways is incredibly good. i pick them over all other domestic airlines when given the choice.

haven't flown air india for a while but have no unpleasant memories of the times i did.
