England to Kerala

Can anyone recommend a good quality (economy class) airline flying from London to Kerala?

Any airlines to avoid?

I don't think there are any direct flights.

We were looking at flying via Dubai with Emirates - but we heard that they're not as good as they used to be - esp in terms of service and seat space.

The alternative is Qatar (who we know are good) flying in to Doha, but the connection airport time is over 6 hours!

We weren't so sure about the charters - like Jet and Kingfisher - esp if they're anything like a typical "charter" flight!

Any suggestions?

Jet and Kingfisher are charters? I thought they were scheduled airlines.

I've flown Kingfisher quite a few times in India, they are one of my favourite airlines, with great food and helpful flight crew.

Jet pilots are threatening a strike from Sept 7th --- but maybe you weren't thinking of arriving next week!

I always liked the idea of a long cruise to India, If only.
Booked with Qatar Airways now, some crazy flight times but hay at least its booked.
