Yes, Toblerone is easily available here, but only the small bars, which are only one or two mouth's full, which makes it far too expensive.

Lindt, also --- but at a price.

Unfortunately many good things in life do come at a price and some are ofcourse "priceless"

That is a MASSIVE coincidence, after all the talk of chocolate yesterday, I finally gave in and cracked open my last pack of pocket coffees. They had dried out a bit and gone slightly chrystalline inside which was a shame but they were still gorgeous.

The are really hard to come by, even in Europe as I think they're only made in Italy and they're definitely only manufactured during the winter months - they're not on sale at any other time, which is a great shame. I first found them at an airport in Italy and tried to find out how to get more when I got home. Apparently transport problems with the heat of summer makes them impossible to distribute.

A whole shot of expresso coffee in one chocolate... I have one left and I'm looking at it right now!

Oh dear, my mouth is watering reading your post, Haylo - it's the expresso coffee combination that's doing it!

That is a great price, but be warned they are VERY moreish.

If you do treat yourself, be careful not to eat too many at one go, especially late at night. There is a lot of coffee in those little chocolates, careful you don't end up not sleeping for 24 hours. Not that I would ever do something so silly.... Oops.

I do like this thread (or what it's turned into).
Top Choc (in no particular order)
Pocket Coffees
Lindt dark with chilli or ginger or coffee or orange
Green and Black's Maya Gold
Toblerones (of course!)
Ferrero Roche (sorry, can't help it)
Bendick's, either mints or gingers
After Eights (I think this is mainly nostalgia. And still mourning the loss of Pyramints)
Any kind of coffee creams
The best chocolate ever that I cannot get anymore: A small (probably local Welsh) producer who made bars of coffee and cardamom chocolate that cost something outrageous. *droooooool* Only ever found in a posh deli down the road from my house, and apparently untraceable online.

I'm very fond of Pralines and other hazelnut/chocolate mixtures.

Sometimes I sit down with a small jar of Nutella , a teaspoon and a big mug of tea and scoff the lot.

I don't do this very often as I'm not planning to take up sumo wrestling anytime soon.

Of course I only intend to have a few spoonfulls but something (greed?) urges me on.

Sometimes when visiting Continental Europe I see those huge 2kg jars of Nutella.

I have to flee the shop .

I only ever dare buy the 200gm size... one at a time.

If you ever go to Germany you'll see chocolate there with every possible combination and permutation of flavours you ever thought possible.

I did my Xmas sweets shopping in Munich and took home 72 packs/bars of chocolate...mostly as presents I must add.

Here is a totally offtopic (to India at least) tip for Brits; the discount supermarket Lidl is a German company and at Christmas they stocks fantastic quality German chocolate and chocolates at very cheap prices. Almonds coated with cinnamon chocolate are one of my favourites. They also stock German treats like Lebkuchen (spiced gingerbread *drool*) and stollen (fruit cake with marzipan baked inside).

... they have some pretty good deals on gadgets, even including computers, too. Lidl watchers tend to snap them up fast, though

This thread is very distressing and should be closed immediatly.

I'm now going to have to get an auto to Chocolat to get the only chocolates I've found in Delhi I like but still not a patch on Maya Gold.

It will cost me so much money.
