Has anybody recently passed through Dubai airport, was wondering if they do have areas to charge your laptop.

Member Merchant could be one with some recent knowledge of there.
In any case I know no better than it's one of those ultra-spiffy Mid-East airports, would be very surprised if they don't have them in abundance.

![]() Wasn't looking for laptop points, so can't help you, but if you're flying Emirates, most if not all of their aircraft have charging points you can use - economy passengers can give their laptops to the cabin crew to be charged.

Haylo, just a quick question, am i right in understanding that the Total baggage allowance is 30 kg per passenger and NOT 30 kg per bag - (max of 2 bags)

![]() As well as this, economy passengers are allowed to carry one piece of cabin baggage, the weight limit for that is 7 kg and there's also a size limit. Emirates' website has a very helpful "baggage calculator", check it out. |

I did carry my netbook separately in a small handbag and they said that was okay, but it would have fitted in my carryon if necessary. I think that carrying a laptop bag separately might be pushing your luck. |
