If I'm not mistaken DL/NW do serve a drink with a meal flying across the pond and beyond.

Yes, DL/ NW was making sounds about re-introducing complimentary alcoholic beverages in all classes.. but as of 2 weeks ago, AA on transatlantic and transpacific flights, and United( SFO to Sydney.. 14 hours)were still charging for alcoholic drinks in Economy. Business and First class still offer free drinks.
