Delhi Airport to Delhi (DLI) Station

hi,

I'm looking for some advice, we land in Delhi Airport at 11:30am and are due to catch a train at 17:30pm from Delhi (DLI) station. Is it advised that we book a taxi / driver to collect us and bring us to the train station? How long should the journey take? Also,is DLI the main station in Delhi?

There is a police-run booth at the airport where you can arrange a pre-paid taxi. No need to book in advance and going pre-paid reduces the risk of hassle over the fare. Should be around Rs 300 or so to the railway station. Traffic permitting the drive should take about an hour.

There are several large railway stations in Delhi. Easy to get them mixed up. DLI is the Old Delhi station. Don't confuse it with the more central New Delhi station - NDLS. Make sure you tell the person at the taxi booth clearly which one you want.

In fact, you will find two pre-paid booths..one is operated by the police department...

You will also find a radio taxi co. Both are reliable...Radio taxi is slightly more expensive.

Including time required for your luggage to arrive you should be able to reach by 1.00 PM - assuming your flight lands on time.
