I don't know of Lanaya, but love to hear live instrumental music - I'm guessing I could probably hear them in Bamako, that is...if they do the standard tour kind of thing. I'll definitely keep an eye out! Thanks so much, -Dave  |

I'm sure you'll get your share of kora playing if you keep an eye out for it. Absolutely mesmerizing. That Diabate family are top of the bill as far as I know, it's quite a tradition. They're griots or traditional "minstrels," worth studying up on before you go.
