Hey Machadinha,

I don't know of Lanaya, but love to hear live instrumental music - I'm guessing I could probably hear them in Bamako, that is...if they do the standard tour kind of thing. I'll definitely keep an eye out! Thanks so much,

I'm sure you'll get your share of kora playing if you keep an eye out for it. Absolutely mesmerizing. That Diabate family are top of the bill as far as I know, it's quite a tradition. They're griots or traditional "minstrels," worth studying up on before you go.

For those flying from Australian cities to India, here is a great website

Their fares are always the cheapest, cheaper than Flight Centre.
