| could it be that you were searching for flights from Amsterdam to GOA? Well if I am searching for that I am getting exactly the same prices you've mentioned... but I would end up in Genua - I wouldn't mind a plate of pasta and a glass of red wine... But Goa's airport has the code GOI - and those tix are much costlier (from AMS) And we still have no charter from there... |

| Birds, here is a tip too. My mum who is 68, can't read or write, only speaks Hindi and Tamil, can't walk 100 mtrs without taking a break came to visit me last June. She flew from Chennai to Amsterdam with Lufthansa. I had requested that she be escorted and had also requested help with translation. She was taken very good care of both ways. The staff wheeled her everywhere - so much so that she missed her connecting flight to Ams. But they made sure that she got on the next one - an hour later. The ground staff stayed with her until she was completely boarded. She was also wheeled to the meet & greet area at Schiphol. On the way back to Chennai (at Frankfurt airport) you would have to go down a few steps. The Lufthansa staff asked her to sit on a chair and two male ground staff carried her down the stairs (mind you at 4 ft. nothing, she is no light weight). They were very courteous and they even called me when my mum missed the connecting flight. Let me tell you, before she visited me, my mum was in the hospital in the intensive care for almost a fortnight and I thought she wouldn't make it. But with the good care of the Lufthansa staff, she made it to Amsterdam and back. The moral of this long story is...if there are no direct flights, you could request that your mum be escorted. They do that with almost all airlines. I hope this has been helpful. |
