Airlines Desert Cochin

Whether for the monsoon or permanently, a number of airlines have ceased operations into and out of Cochin / Kochi.

TIGER
As of 29 March, Tiger is no longer flying out of or into Cochin / Kochi. Don't know if this is for the monsoon or for good as, in keeping with their budget mentality, information is not provided to their lovely customers.

AIR INDIA EXPRESS
Not sure when this one disappeared but no longer flying to Singapore (EDITED OUT INCORRECT STATEMENT "OR Dubai")) from Cochin.

If anyone knows if this is seasonal or is based on some other reason why carriers are abandoning Cochin, I would be interested to hear from you.

I looked at Air India Express's timetable yesterday and it still listed flights to Kochi.

steven - it is in the drop-down menu but SIN - COK is unbookable post 31 March (and possibly before).

if you select departure from SIN then you only get the options of Chennai, Colombo, Kolkata and Tiruchirupalli

(but you are correct about the middle east from Cochin and I have edited my post above accordingly)
