Air-India; London – Delhi route

Has any one used Air-India flights between London and Delhi recently?
Do they fly on time?
I have several poor experiences with this airline from the past.
Last time I used this was about two years ago and the flights were delayed/cancelled quite regularly. I missed a family wedding because of cancellation.

The travel agents in London claiming that AI has significantly improved their reliability.
Can any one share their experience?

Cant say for sure.

My hubby travelled AI London Bombay last year because the timing was convenient on that particular day, and it was on time, but for subsequent trips the travel agent advised him to go Jet. He goes to the Mid. East by AI often though, and the flights are mostly on schedule. Aircraft are poorly maintained though.
