Air India express - worst website ever!!!!!

Does anyone know the solution to this? It's the cheapest route from BKK to Kolkata, but they're website is an absolute joke. How can you run a business like this?

Anyway, does anyone have a silver bullet for this? The only other budget option is jetairways but thats still nearly double the price

try some travel sites like makemytrip.com, yatra.com. They do have international booking - may be the price would be slightly higher, say by Rs. 200 or so.

Talk to a travel agent. This tends to be the best option when dealing with Air India or one of its lesser siblings.

Yes I tried on a Windows based machine, it went all the way through but the website crashed whilst it was verifying my visa card. I really hope it didn't charge me!

Anyway, went to a travel agent, all booked now I hope. I did a bit of research and apparently many people have issues with that website. For a budget airline you expect the website, their primary source of revenue, to work properly!!!

I've tried booking through that website several times, and failed.
I don't know if its worth it to pursue this any further.
The fare is attractive.
How often do they cancel their flights?

Your expectations must be in line with the times. In the year 1999 you cant expect things to be as they will be in 2009. Air India is still in 1999 if not earlier..

Im having the same problem!..I want to buy a flight tkt from Kolkata to Bangkok for january 2010 but its imposible and the other airlines are very expensive. You know if its better to wait and buy the tkts in Kolkata?
