Air India - Ahemdabad to London HTR

Hi,
Wondering if anyone recently has travelled on the Air India Ahemdabad to London flight? I want to avoid the lengthy wait at Mumbai that is required if flying from Vadodara (where I reside) to London. But is it worth it, I have read alot of reviews for other Air India flights but no particular to this flight.

Another thing that worries me about AI is the fact that they seem to chop and change their flight schedule at very late notice, but again nothing to point to this particular flight they operate.

Any experiences or advise would be welcome, will be travelling in 2 weeks.
