Wildlife in October: Ranthambore, Corbett NP or both?

We are looking for wildlife options for a two week vacation in early October. We were looking at
1. Ranthambore and Desert National Park (very little information available on the later) or
2. Ranthambore and Jim Corbett National park.

Photography and Wildlife (mammals/birds) are primary objectives and I also know that summer would be the best time to visit. I still may try another visit next march, but have a long leave coming up and didnt want to miss the opportunity to explore the wilderness.

We have visited the South Indian forests and would like to start exploring the north.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.
