The one with black head and red body looks fabulous.

jituyadavji extremely sorry for the inconvenience.

There was no sufficient light due to cloudy weather condition.
I am in the process of learning the photography. Will try to capture and post better pictures.

Thanks for the updating.

vinathorat: When you post birds for IDing it helps if you mention the place, where you took those pictures. Also, as jituyadav has mentioned it helps if you post clear pictures like mridula.

The birds you've posted are: Myna, Shrike, Trogon and Wagtail.

Common Hill Myna

.
Long-tailed Shrike

.
Malabar Trogon

Grey Wagtail

RWe,

Sorry for not mentioning the place.

I was on South India trip recently, snaps are from Nilgiri's.

Will keep this in mind in future.

Thanks for identifying the pictures.

And I remain as poor as ever at identifying birds! Jitu thanks for your kind words about my pictures. These days clicked an Egret, purple sunbirds in plenty and a few bulbuls but nothing too exciting apart from a few Jungle Babblers.

No travel plans and I see a yellowish bird in the neighborhood only when I do not carry a camera.

Those are lovely birds Rwe. Vinay you must have at least seen all those birds in their glory.

That's why I found especially the wagtail and the hill mynah's so familiar, they were our constant companions in the Nilgiris.

We are all members of that same club. In my case that is so especially with the paradise flycatcher who I have seen umpteen times when the camera is not to hand, and never, when it is!

I am wondering if this is Blue Fronted Redstart? Ah but Rajiv's notes say it is a bird of the Himalayas and I clicked the above in Gurgaon.
