Happy New Year!!

Did a bit of birding and to my surprise saw Eurasian Curlew today morning! Seems like 2018 will be good!

It was very early in the morning and the light was really dull on the beach! Managed some hazy pictures of this long-beaked bird!

This was like the Bahubali Moment...the bird directly walking towards me!

And then there were these cute little plovers too!

A sandpiper, I think, a restless one at that!

And my regular winter visitor, Western Reef Egret!

The beach!!

It is a Egret. Western Reef Egret. You see them only on coastal reefs.
Occurs in 2 morphs. Non-breeding dark morph and white morph.

Wow! You got the entire family!!

Window birding - From my flat window, I got to click this winter visitor - Greenins warbler! Every year I get to see a warbler or a chiff chaff in my apartment ! The bougainvillea creeper attracts quite a few birds during winters!

But sighting a warbler, well, it's sheer luck!!

Thanks, GP!
RWe was the one who insisted i contribute my bird pics to OBI database. Initially I was hesitant but it has been a learning experience not just in birding but also bird photography! That forum has given me an opportunity to interact and educate myself with very senior birders and bird photographers!
