As Govindpuri had mentioned it looks like a Himalayan Griffon. Click photo to see more Griffons.

Tail of a Spangled Drongo. I thought the texture was pretty remarkable.

Any ideas on this one? Perhaps a Dark-sided Flycatcher?

A Common Rosefinch, perhaps? It's the first one I've seen, so I don't really know. Very attractive!

Speaking of textures, how about this beehive? It was enormous -- easily three and perhaps even four feet tall. Hung from the top a large tree.

Would love thoughts on this one I came across in Leh. Small -- maybe 30 cm? -- and seemed disoriented. Was perched on a stone wall across from the police station below the palace.

All your bird photos look very nice and you should consider contributing to the OBI database (← click). OBI – Oriental Bird Images, is based out of UK and is a collection of photos contributed by volunteers. Whatever you post in this thread gets buried and never to be seen again. On OBI you get visibility, exposure, recognition and fame.

Several members contribute and one IndiaMiker has some of her photos made into Bikram Grewal’s book.
