Which bird is this?
Thanks to Mridula & RWeHavingFunYet for your kind welcome. This is a great site with a lot of knowledgeable people, helping one another.
And superthanks to RWeHavingFunYet for the IDing of the birds & ,yes, atleast Iamhavingfun.
Is everyone in consensus about the IDs? These were shot in south Himachal, from Jan to March.
Mridula can you please tell me about your photo equipment, you seem to be taking great photos (lens, box).
Anyway need some help for some more with some uneducated guesses included.
Photo 1. ? Parrot/Paraquet (blue head, yellow tail)
Photo 2. Perhaps a yellow billed chug. Size smaller than a crow, very sudden yet graceful movements
Photo 3. Perhaps a grey-headed yellow warbler. Very small, very hard to photograph.
Thanks

Ahh, yes, the Silly Babbler! Such an aptly named bird: never stays quiet.
I saw a crow once that was besotted with its reflection in a piece of polished granite. It would return, every few minutes, to mutter and warble and plead with its soulmate. Poor thing.
Mridula: fabulous sunbird pic!
Hillbilly: where are the photos?

I go through a process of going through a search on google for Himalayan birds and seeing each one try to match it to the photos taken. Some sites have many photos but there is always doubt.
Very new to this community, perhaps "Fresh off the boat".

Hillybilly I use a Canon 350D and my bird shots are taken using a 70-300mm sigma lens. I am told that I will better off using a 100-400mm lens. Maybe I will buy it.
In the meanwhile what is this beauty called?

It's easy to remember this bird. If you look carefully, it has a white-eye. This bird is called a White-eye.

RWe many thanks for identifying the Oriental White Eye for me. Here is the next one, I have taken it from quite some distance but to me it looks like a very distinct bird.

This is not an easy one. If you had posted a familiar bird like, say, a Hummingbird or a Golden Oriole, it's very easy to ID for anyone. The picture you posted is an immature bird, which makes it even more difficult to ID.

It's a Eurasian Golden Oriole -- immature.
