What parks are open in September - Most in Dehli area closed

Seeing the wildlife of India is top of our list, but so many of the Wildlife Parks seem to be closed in until October and we will be in India September 11th to September 25 (flying out of Dehli). The suggestions for our itenary are to start and end in Dehli, however all the listings I have for wildlife parks (except for one for birds) in the area show them closed. We can fly into another airport and make our way to Dehli. Second on the wishlist is to visit the Taj Mahl if it can be worked into an itenary involving an open wildlife park/sanctuary.

Nearly all National Parks in the northern plains will be closed till late October. Seeing tigers or such sought after animals is unlikely in September.

Though animal sightings are not much, if you still intend to visit a park, you can try one of the following:

1. Visit Desert National Park in Rajasthan
2. Visit Pin Valley National Park in Himachal.
3. Visit Hemis National Park in Ladakh
4. Visit any National Park in South India, which usually remain open though rainy season.

But do double check that the parks are open before you decide to go.
