It's really hot here in Mumbai, but the flowers look most attractive now!! In the past few days, I have seen beautiful blooms in Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP), Mumbai. Here are some photos!!

Indian Laburnum (Cassia Fistula) - Marathi name is 'Amaltas'. Also it is known as Golden shower tree.

Lovely pics Naveena! I particularly like the laburnum - we had one in our garden when I was a kid. And thanks for mentioning the Marathi name too. There is an MP Tourism lodge in Pachmarhi called the Amaltas but I never knew it meant Laburnum .
