told no elephant safari allowed in Nagarhole
We are planning a trip to Nagarhole National Park at the end of December/first of January thanks to some input from fellow forum users (Thanks guys). Just when I thought everything was ready to book with Neeraj at "Indian Moments" he writes that Nagarhole does not permit elephant safaris. He has arranged accommmodations with Cicada Resort because Kabini was full. I am wondering if only Cicada has a problem getting permission to go into the park with elephants since I seem to see lots of other tour companies online that tout such things as "photographic elephant safari" into Nagarhole. We don't want a 10 minute 'joy' ride as it's called. We are only interested in seeing as much wildlife as possible. Any insight into this situation?

Hmmm. I'm trying to get to nagarhole a fortnight later and am not having any responses to my enquiries. I'd be interested to hear your progress.
