Tiger disappearance

More bad news on the wildlife front I'm afraid. A report in todays Guardian newspaper suggests the Sariska may now be tigerless.
Read the report at the following link:

Sad. really Sad. this has been the most disturbing news in recent times. I hope the Government sits up and takes notice at least now and do something drastic to prevent the Tiger going the Cheetah way.

It's really sad but true...the Indian Govt put the CBI (India's FBI) in Sariska to hunt for Tigers but they returned empty handed. I have visited Sariska 4 years back - dint get to see ant tigers back there then...

The Govt has shown exceptional concern at these developments. Manmohan Singh (Indian PM) personally ordered the CBI probe and received much flak for it from opposition and even from Rajasthan CM. He also sent notices to all states so that such activities aren't be repeated.
