Simply marvellous! My mother was from Junagadh, but I've never been to Gir! Shame! Shame!

Same here. I was in Rajkot to attend a friend's wedding and we even crossed Gir to get to Diu island. My friends -- most of them Jains from Secunderabad -- were more interested in alcohol. I still kick myself for missing Gir.
