Excellent write up ,Uttam, with so beautiful photos albeit taken in such gloomy light......We also think ourselves lucky to get you there,at Paren..Undoubtedly our stay at Paren became more enjoyable for your company....the birding trails through the misty jungle will be cherished in our mind for a long time. We fell in love with Paren at the very first sight ...far from the madding crowd ,so beautiful,so pristine..and the misty weather though not conducive for birding, added some charm to it.Let's go there again.......
Some photos..

Good to see a Indiamiker mini-meet-up in Paren. During my stay, we were lonelier! Never mind , the beauty remain unchanged . If we plan to go there again, let's go together. But hey 8 person at max

This is wonderful sharing about Paren folks, Thanks to both.

Can you specify any local birding guide or place for bird photography.

Looks like there is a copy-and-paste query ! For drop to Paren, you can get car from New Mal Junction for Rs 1800~2000. Ask him to for local sight seeing & pick up from paren to drop you again at railway station. Otherwise , contact your host where you are staying the night(s). People from Paren are interested only for drop to station not for pick-ups and also when you reach paren , your host will also offer sight seeing tour to Bindu , Jhallong etc and will be able to provide cars. Just check whichever option is suitable for you .

Hi Umahatha,

I simply enjoyed reading the write-up

We will be viviting Paren and Suntalekhole in Dec- Jan this year.

Wanted to have some information:

1. what would be the approx temperature at Paren in Dec end?
2. what could be the approx cost from New Mal Junction to Paren, if we hire a private car?

Thanks!!
