Tadoba in Post Monsoon

Hi All,

A Jungle safari in Monsoon/Post Monsoon sounds crazy, though I was in Corbat as well in Kanha in month of May and was not able to see a single tiger (what a bad luck I have) but with help from IMers from Any wildlife Sanctuary / NP near Nagpur? thread we have decided to utilize long weekend of early October into a Jungle. Now Tadoba is only forest in Maharashtra keeps open for nature lover in month of monsson as well.

We have scheduled our itinerary which looks likes below.
1 Oct 2009

• We will take Vidarbha Express from Dadar, Mumbai.
• We will get down at Wardha station; train will reach Wardha around 8:00 AM on 2 OCT 2009.

2 Oct 2009

• We will reach Wardha around 8:00 AM.
• After competing breakfast we will leave for Tadoba, Chandrapur at 9:00 AM.
• I am expecting maximum 4 hours journey, we will reach Tadoba (Saras resort) by 1:00 PM. (If chandrapur is on the way then we would like to have lunch in Chandrapur). (We were late by 30 mintues and MTDC was full and end up with Saras resort.)
• We will take rest and in evening we will plan for Jungle Safari. (I am expecting less tourist on Safari on same day and hence will get better chance to see Tiger )
• Evening Safari Time : 03:00 PM - 05:30 PM......Return Time: 07:00 PM

3 Oct 2009

• We will go for Morning Jungle Safari (06:00 AM - 09:30 AM......Return Time: 11:00 AM).
• Based on our 2nd OCT expierence we might again think to fo for Jungle Safari otherwise we will take rest.

4 Oct 2009

• In the morning We have plan to visit Tadoba Lake and site scene in Buffer Area.
• After having lunch around 12 noon we will leave for Wardha, our train is at 6:00 PM from Wardha.

Traveling
Train, Bus, Gypsy (Jungle Safari)

Accomodation
Saras Resort (Non AC 800 Rs / AC 1100 RS)

Food
We will be caring some food from Mumbai as we did not get good review for food at MTDC Resort, Tadoba (this is the only place to get food.)
We will caring lot of amount of Water and Glucos to avoid dehydration.

I will update you all with expierence and photos, once I will return from our Safari.
