Hm, well, my only squirrel pic so far and arguably a pretty crappy one (they are shifty, aren't they?) I already linked to on the other thread: http://www.indiamike.com/india-image...res/squirrel-1.As said there, they were to follow me around pretty much all along my last two trips. Strange thing indeed, since I'd never noticed them on the previous ones.

Having breakfast ....
My clicks
!
A 'Yogic' squirrel - seemed as though he was doing "Bhujangasan'!!

The name is 'Bond', 'James Bond'! This one was clicked when he was busily chasing an intruder in his territory!

So what if I visit Mahabaleshwar and still don't get to see 'Malabar Giant squirrel'? A friendly neighborhood striped one is also fine

The American Red Squirrels love winter. They are experts in making undersnow tunnels for safe(r) passage from hawks, owls, fox & coyote. Snacking on a treat while sitting on a snowy bough is a favorite pastime of this species:

It really is a shame, because you would have had the sense to adjust the camera and hold it still...Athirapuilly Falls, Kerala, Jan '13.

There were two, and this was the looser of a noisy fight. We saw another two days later.
(Odd, I thought I posted this a couple of days back...)
