Hello to all fellow IMers.
need a few questions to be answered regarding a quick ride I am planning to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
# What time does the park open?
# Whats the condition of road from Delhi--> NH-2?
# Is the "Taj expressway" ready, 'coz if it is, I would love to ride on it (even though it might be longer)?
I have no problem riding long distances, and am planning to take this trip to get away from my daily city life to a calm peaceful place where I can spend around 6-7hrs, so birds or no/less birds is not a source of bother to me.
And, I read about "Bicycles" being available on rent? I would love to try this definitely.
Any other advice/tips/suggestions are most welcome..
thank you

Hi

I was in Bharatpur in the end of September, I rent a bicycle at the entrance, (70rps) stayed all day long. I arrived at 7am and it was already open.
I went there by train, then by cycle rickshaw. Many hotel all around the parc. No restaurant inside the park! Exept water and chips you won't find anything else.
I've really enjoyed it!

thanx for the quick reply.. really appreciate it..
i dont plan on staying there overnight, and would be getting back the same night, so not interested in hotels.
i'm guessing the park should be open by 6 in morning (anyone with info on this would be a great help), as I plan to start my ride from Delhi accordingly, to reach the place at its earliest..
I'm expecting it to be a 4hrs max ride from Ashram chowk, outer ring road (confirmation to this from anyone is most welcomed)

delhi-> agra is a race track.
bharatpur opened like 6am or 630 am last i recalled.
you get bicycles for hire at nominal price or a pedaling boat (last I went many years back).
