Sasan Gir

ello everyone!

I have a question about Sasan Gir as i will be in Gurjarat next month, 12th Oct for a couple weeks, and would like to see some wild life.

i have heard mixed reviews about this place, can anyone give me some ideas of how good it is? I know its the only place to see the asiatic lion, are these wild ones? can anyone share their experience of it? is it worth goin? is there good place to spend the night there or is there no need?

Any help would be much appreceiated,

Regards,

Sun

Hi Sun,

It is a worth place to visit and it is necessary to spend a night.

There are two area in Gir national Park. Core area and National Park (where you will surely see Lions).

For accomodations, please find some similar threads on IM.

Yes it is worth the visit..For hotel accommodation I would suggest Maneland Jungle Lodge which isnt expensive yet nice. You could browse through their site www.maneland.com

I didn't like Gir..

We could see lions only in the interpretation zone, which is nothing but a sort of zoo....
