Booking Ranthambhore safari

Please can anyone give some advice for booking a safari in Ranthambhore.

I've been following the site for several weeks and no movement. It is impossible to make a reservation for upcoming April. The site mentoines reservation up to 90 days in advance but as from April 1 for the past few weeks all shows empty for.

How I can book? Does anyone know when the site will open for booking on April 9, on what day at what time so I can make the booking I want. All help much apprciated.

some parks seem to be pricing themselves out of the mango people [aam aadmi] pay range.

it seems to be impossible to book a gypsy for the safari. Everything is booked and the 90 days window also seems to be incorrect. Any tips or help.

Latest update 20th March 2014 :

The Online booking system has re-started since yesterday and seats are getting sold out fast.

Please go to the website & book your safaris directly at http://www.rajasthanwildlife.in/ instead of going through touts / agents !

While April seems to be sold out, limited seats are available for May & June !

Hello Shantanu da,

For an exclusive Gypsy, all you need to do is add 6 names with their respective ID's at the time of booking.

If 3 of you are going, you could fill up each of your names TWICE but with different ID details. For example, you could furnish PAN number + Driving License of the three of you to secure six seats.

Booking all six seats (for an exclusive Gypsy) incurs an additional charge of Rs. 420 per Gypsy per safari on top of the mandatory charges, which you need to pay while collecting your boarding pass.

In case only 3 of you intend going on the safari, you need to produce photocopies of only the 3 IDs, payup the charges and collect your boarding pass.

The entire procedure can be done through your Resort's front desk staff.

Latest update (as on 5th April 2014) on safari booking procedure : The online booking system has incorporated a feature wherein you could choose the exact zone you need for each of your safaris. Tip : Choose Zone-1 at your own risk.

Cheers !

Selecting a zone, that is a great facility added on the website. But a constant warning is scrolled "System under testing, please do not make any transaction". I guess they will sort out the issue in 1 - 2 days time.

B_Demetrius, safari seats for May 2014 were already sold out when the online system was working last month . The online facility which is scheduled to re-start from 15th April 1100 hrs (Indian Standard Time) onwards shall mainly be for safaris available in June.

need help

hello guys, this is my first trip to ranthambore np, so i have some queries, would be glad if someone could help me out with it.
1) as i see online booking is to be done for gypsy safari, does it mean we dont have to make a separate booking for park entry like its done in bandhavgarh np.
2)i see someone mentioning about going to counter ,making some payment and getting the pass issued? i dont get it? if we pay online for gypsy then what is this payment that we have to make over the counter.
kindly pls if someone could help me out with these queries would be greatful guys-thanks

sonishekhar,

1) No. You don't have to apply for / make separate booking for park entry like a few other parks.

2) You've not got the point. One only pays for the forest entry fees in online booking. You need to pay the charges for hiring of Gypsy + Guide fees directly at the counter (or through your Resort, along with a photocopy of ID of all members of your group) in order to collect your boarding pass.

Regards !

You're welcome sonishekhar !

For an exclusive Gypsy (all 6 seats booked by you) it would cost approx Rs. 4 K per safari.

No, it's not possible to book now for safaris during Diwali. You'd need to book online once the system re-opens, post-Monsoon in September 2014. Cheers !
