Problems Booking in Dikhala

Been trying to book a night in Dikhala. We were able to get through last week on the phone without too much trouble. We were told to send a fax. However, we haven't heard back from them. None of our calls seems to go through, the line's always busy.

(We've also tried the Dehradun office- they just told us to Call Ramngbar)

Has anyone had sucess in booking accomdoations in Dikhala without a package?

Or getting a fax through themselves??

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

I had booked Dhikala without a package. First I contacted Ramnagar office, they said they were full & asked us to contact Dehradun. I was successful in getting accomdation from Dehradun.

Search on IM there are contact nos. & other info. on this topic.

Ronak.

Thanks for your help, our Hindi isn't quite good enough for the Dehradun office, so they've been passing us off to Ramanagar.

Challenge in Dhikala Booking

All :
To me looks like, trying through RamNagar office is like harassment. They prefer to give permit to Agents, and Foreigners and have seen Indians pledging to them for giving permit. There are several Agents, who will do booking for you, and will charge huge amount (~5K/person for that).
Why cann't they have online booking?. Or Daily availability of the room on website?. If you are a VIP, you can get booking anytime, as Kinnanauli FRH is reserved from them.
I have reasons to believe, there is enough room for Corruption in Corbett Dhikala FRH booking.

You are right. I was there in march and an Indian man told me that he had to give money "under the table" for the first time this year on 12 travels.
It was really hard to me to book rooms and very expensive...
