Parks open during monsoon?

Hello I am new here and have a trip planned to Souther India from August 18th till September 18th and would like to see the most wildlife I can but am having trouble as to where is opened and where to go. Please if possible recommend the best places. Thanks

Wildlife Sanctuaries / NP across South India will be open during the said period but as you might have guessed, Post Monsoon may not be the ideal time for Animal Sightings [When compared to Summer Months].

Not Sure which State you are planning but in Karnataka, Nagarahole NP , Bandipura NP and in Tamilnadu -> Mudumalai NP , Kalakkadu / Mundanthurai Santuary and in Kerala -> Tholpetty WLS , Muthanga WLS, Periyar Sanctuary will be open for sure! May be you can do a search on our Wildlife forum itself to get more insight onto the santuaries !

P.S:- Normally South indian Sanctuaries will be closed during Peak Summer Months [Read March / April / May time Frame] and very rarely Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuatires[ Read Muthanga / Tholpetty WLS] will be closed during Monsoons if it Floods!

all national parks in india are closed for monsoon. that is from july onwards till october - november.

sanctuaries are however open all year round. but post monsoon isnt the best time as animal sighting is difficult and the dirt tracks will be muddy and cant be used

best time to see forest - winters. best time to spot animals - summer
