Nagarhole/Bandipur/Kabini

I have been to both Bandipur and Nagarhole (and stayed at Kabini in Nagarhole). Both are great and you should see lots of wildlife. Nagarhole will always be dearest in my memory, as I saw a tiger there back in 2003, on a safari organised through the Kabini River Lodge.

Whatever you choose I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Just came back today from Nagarhole. Stayed at Kabini River Lodge. Yes it is expensive but the cheapest of the lot (Cicada, Water Woods, Orange county etc.,) at kabini.
There is one more staying option Jungle Inn on the other side of Nagarhole. http://www.jungleinnnagarhole.com/index.html
Also you could try home stay options at Irpu Falls, which is 10 - 15 kms from Nagarhole. http://www.homestaykodagu.com/

Also there are Forest Rest Houses inside the Forest. But bookings are hard to get. I wanted to stay inside but did not get bookings. However bookings were available for Dormitories.
Check out this link http://www.karnatakawildernesstouris...Nagarahole.htm

During Chritsmas Animal sightings will be very less. So was the case when I visited. If you could reschedule plan your trip in the months of March, April & May.

Ronak.
