Mudumulai NP with kids

Hello!

We are a family with two kids, which want to visit India again next February. At this time, the girls will be nearly 6 and 9 years old. It will be not the first time, we will be in India.

Our plan is:
Fly to Mumbai - car to Pune (stay for some days) - train to Bangalore or Mysore - some days in the Mudumulai NP - back to Bangalore and by train to Mallapuram OR by car/train to Coimbatore and then by train to Mallapuram


Is the National Park opened in February, because I read in the internet, that the park is sometimes closed in the dry season in February???

What accomodation and activities (especially for kids) could you recommend??

Was somebody already in the private "JUNGLE HOME" or in the "FOREST HILL"?

The park will be open till march..normally they close in summer which is april onwards as there could be forest fires and lack of water as well. I would suggest that you stay in masinagudi, which is harldy 10 kms from the park and the resorts will organise treks and safaris as well..depending on where you stay, there could be swimming, bird watching and coffee plantation visits as well..let me know if you need further details
