Those cubs must be really sweet.
WOULD LIKE TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THAT SNONYMOUS.
MY upload window says cant be more than 100kb. so size is to be curtailed.

and guys its just a hope for cubs. they are a month or so old apparently and naturally mama lion has them under wraps. so hope fully they may be taking their friday outing when i drive by. wouldn't that be super.
ha!

Through "Insert Image". See this thread if you dont know how to keep the dimensions large but the pixels small:

Good luck in finding those cutie cubs!

What a great write up!

My Dad has ALWAYS wanted to go on a hunting safari in Africa, or to be Jim Corbett in India! He's not really keen on hunting anymore, so sees no reason to go. I may just have to show him your write up to prove that just seeing them is something spectacular!

Arun, you can always upload to the IndiaMike Photo Gallery. Up to this point in time, photos attached to threads have been very limited in size, with very tiny thumbnails.

That is changing as we speak... see the thread Snonymous mentions

To include full size pictures in your report, find the full size photo address first and include it between image tags: [IMG][/IMG]

For example, here is a photo of your lion on IndiaMike. Alternately, the same photo is also available on your blogspot-site.

IndiaMike Photo address:
http://www.indiamike.com/india/attac...-dsc_0172-.jpg

Same Photo on your blogspot:
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_r5Y8nuCCL..._0172%252B.jpg

Include the photo address between IMG tags, [IMG][/IMG] using Insert Image icon which looks like this ==>

Spread out your pictures in your report in chronological order. It will be nice if you could include more pictures of the surroundings which would give a wholesome feel of Gir National Park to the reader.

For example, see this IndiaMike report: Roopkund India Trek Report.

Smile woha

Thats a great trip report. I had been to Gir in Jan 2008 and was lucky enough to see a failed hunting bid by a lioness.. After her bid she sure did pose for us for a good 15 mins and gave a nice big yawn to get her breath back (those canines are something!!).

Is the trackers something that has been introduced recently because I dont remember bumping into any in the 2 safaris that I had taken there.

Gir definitely is a well managed sanctuary and the increase in numbers is a testimony to that. However, I hope that overcrowding doesn't lead to human-lion conflict.

How to insert your attached images within the text of a post

1. Upload them using Manage attachments

2. click on . You will then see a drop down list of your attached pics, click on the one you want at that point.

Doesn't seem to work!

Attachments are all showing up in one place like in post #1, and not in between text.

thanks.

I have another bit of info. The otel i stayed at is a budget. And they have a good driver and a good guide who has good contacts with trackers. That comes in handy. Believe me.

Annapoorna hotel
arvind kanabar
09925736588
02877285569

they will book buses and taxis and everything and its cheap. To use their jeep and driver you have to be staying there. They can get the safari bookings and the route you wish or that they suggest. Same price as you would personally get at the office.

I recommend them.
