Kaziranga

Right guys...its about time for my biennial trip to india.

Doing a week in Kolkata during Durga puja and then a week in north bengal.

I also want to go to Kaziranga.

Where is the best place to stay. I stayed in the Dhikala Forest Rest House in Corbett. Is there something similar for Kazinranga.

I hear the wildgrass resort is more luxurious, but i cant find a direct website for them. Its all through travel agents charging their cut.

Also as i'm of indian descent not interested in anywhere that charges foreign rates or special rates for foreign tourists. I want to pay the same as Indian nationals (i'll have my oci card

Do go to Wild Grass, they have some small cottages in the garden that are not expensive, although they are less grand than staying in the house. Their guides and drivers are first class and the park is absolutely fantastic!! The density of large herbivores has to be seen to be believed.

Make sure you visit Panbari while there for the gibbons and capped langurs.

You'll have a great time - allow three or four days if you can to see all the ranges.
