Jabalpur to Kanha Transfer

I have beenq quoted 3500inr each way by my hotel for a transfer from Jabalpur train station to Kanha national park.

Does this sound right?

200km to Jabalpur + 200km back to Kanha (distances according to MapMyIndia)
Rs3500 / 400 = about Rs9 per km.

I suppose it depends on the vehicle but Rs9 isn't extortionate, but you could possibly get it cheaper.

I had hired a non A/C Tata Indica at Rs 6per km last November. Came to somewhere around 1500 each way. It really depends on which car you take. Expect charges to be Rs 7 to 15 depending on type of vehicle.

And also, i guess hotel will have to send a car specially for you at airport or railway station, then transfer you to hotel, then transfer you back to airport after your trip and then again back to hotel. So i guess it is 4 times they are running their vehicle for you. so, i guess the money quoted is alright

or, may be they hire a local guy from jabalpur, and pay him to transfer you to Kanha and some local guy in kanha to transfer you back...
