Oh yes Nivalink are a great service. I used them for my Bandipur trip when i booked Tusker trails. Did all the booking over the phone with Nivalink from the Uk and got email confirmations and booking receipts.

Shame they dont do internal flights/train tickets

I also used nIvalink once when in Bombay. Booking over phone and the details were couriered to my hotel the same evening. Top service

nivalink

They do domestic flights/train tickets, I book all my train tickets with them. They sent them to an hotel, a car driver in a big indian city.
Now for the flights, it's easy to book by airlines websites.

did not know about the train tickets. makes it much easier now

I asked them last eyar about Go Air tickets and they said they were unable to do them as they are a web based budget airline.

maybe they do tickets for airlines like Indian airlines and others who are not budget and webbased

before 2008

I booked with them airlines tickets : Air Deccan and Jet Airways. This year, it was directly with the airline websites.

Hi Matt 67

Not sure how long you're planning on staying at Pench - you said you stayed 2 nights at Bandipur. We always try to spend at least three and usually four nights in a park. You should find it easier to see tigers here than in Bandipur - the South Indian parks are generally harder.

We didn't go to Pench in 2006, but met people who had and who preferred it to Kanha. We were in Kanha and Bandhavgarh four nights each (absolutely exhausted after eight days of 5 am rising and seven hours in a gypsy) but, although tigers were seen every day in both parks, we only saw them in Bandhavgarh on two days and not at all in Kanha. We don't agrre with the principle of the tiger show so avoid it, but that's how many people see tigers.

We did these visits on the Jungle plan basis - made life very simple as we only had to fork out for camera fees, but we perhaps didn't take full advantage of the facilities available to us. I see it's now about $200 per person through the MP Tourism website; may be worth investigating.

Grill us at the London Mela - we should be there!

Didindia, thanks for your reply. Well I did know of some accomodation (From Wildlife Holidays in India - By Outlook Travller) but was looking out from some budget option. Best way for me to reach Pench would be overnight train to Nagpur & then by road. Thanks for that links. I think will just land up at Pench & look out for suitable accomodation like I did in Bandhavgarh this time.

I agree with Mikewill regarding minimum stay of 3 nights at any wildlife place. I had been to Bandhavgarh this May & saw tigers in 5 out of 7 jeep safaris. Plan for next year is to go to both the places Bandhavgarh & Pench May be 3/4 nights each.

Ronak.
