I cant decide

My husband and I are trying to cram in a whirlwind trip around southern India from Bangalore in January.

I want to spend a night at either Nagarhole, Bandipur, Mudumalai or Wayanad but I cant figure out which of these parks has the best wildlife (or the best chances of viewing wildlife in January). I am a bit of an animal fanatic (esp big cats) so wildlife is my main motivation.

I have been through all of the threads I can find and keep changing my mind.

Are any of these parks better than the other? I realise we wont be there in the best months for animal viewing either.

It would be better to know about your schedule, to suggest which park to visit.

Hi

We start in Bangalore and then head to Halebid/Belur for a day and then to Mysore. We are making our way from there to Ooty and then on to Kerala/Kochi with a stop in Munnar. We will also have a couple of days in Periyar. We are going to hire a car and driver but I havent firmed up the itinerary yet.

I wanted to spend a night at one of those parks after Mysore but I cant figure out which is the best for wildlife viewing.

I am so desperate to see a tiger I was considering tagging on an internal flight at the end of the trip just to get up to Ranthambore.

Any advice?

You can try Masinagudi. There is a place owned by Mark Davidar where you will be assured of wild life viewing. The only problem is if he would let you stay there.
