How long a drive from Ranthambore to Agra?

This was asked some years back; maybe the roads have improved?

We are hoping to do a morning safari and drive to Agra. It doesn't really matter what time we get to Agra - but before dark would be great!

If we are being overly optimistic would it be worth going to Bharatpur or a hotel inbetween?

I've not done it but I'm guessing 4/5 hours. Safaris are pretty much done and dusted (literally) by 10:30 so if you got on the road then you could have a late lunch in Bharatpur (I recommend the food in Hotel Sunbird), then onto Fatehpur Sikri in the afternoon before arriving in Agra.

Alternatively there's a decent timed train to Agra on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or even better ones to Bharatpur - in all the posh classes too!
