Hi guys,

thanks to all for sharing so many useful informations.

I have got a couple of queries, please see if anyone can reply to this as i will be visiting the park in the last week of october and I am planning to book online safari at rajasthanwildlife.in on Oct 1st.

1) Online booking shows the rate per indian citizen for gypsy is Rs.436/-. Is it per person rate? or for the entire gypsy?

2) And if it is, then does this include other stuffs like, individual entry permit, gypsy entry permit, guide charges etc per person?

3) And if not, the are these espenses payable at the spot or being taken along with advance online booking seperately?

4) We are a group of 3, so whether online safari booking is permissble for 3 individuals or I need to book the entire gypsy for 6 heads?

guys it will be very helpful if anyone can reply to my query.

thanks

1) it's per person, to book a jeep : 436x6 seats
2) all include
4) you could book 1,2 to 6 seats

Mmmm. Note what you say, however, depends on whether you like U2 or Bucks Fizz!!

Seriously, we are worrying a little. Am booking the day off work so I can get up at 3am to start booking! Our safaris will be (hopefully) on the weekend and I wonder whether it may be even busier then?! It's just the way our itinerary works.

Wrong Rates..........

Rs.436 are old rate of gypsy. The new rates will be announced on 1st of October. The rates are for per person including all charges. But you have to pay extra for your video camera and not the still camera. I am also going on 15th October so any of you would like to have any kind of information regarding ranthambhore please pin me during my stay. I am there till 22nd of Oct 09.

Thanks

thanks henchman and didindia. It clears lot of confusions.

What I understand is the new rate per person effective from 1st october will include Individual entry charges, gypsy entry permit, guide charges and vehicle hire charges.

It does not include video camera charges which is Rs.200/- per camera I suppose, this will have to be paid seperately.

Thank you guys for providing me the informations, it will help me lot.

You can do this at the time of booking or pay it as your gypsy/canter enters the park.
Bear in mind that if you have a camera that looks like a video camera you'll probably be asked to pay up. If you have a camera that looks like a stills camera but also takes video you'll probably get away with it.

Only just seen this but I think that you've "gotta slow it down".

Why 3am? That'll be midday in India won't it? Is that when the bookings open?
