Hi there

I am visiting India in Oct/Nov and would like to try my hand at horseriding. I am a beginner (have been learning for about a year) so not looking for anything too strenuous or scary!

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best place(s) to do this? I am visting Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Udaipur and then going down south to Kerala.

I have read about the Marwari Horses and would like to find out if anyone else has ridden them (I think you need to be an experienced rider to ride them, as they sound quite "spirited" so wouldn't mind just observing them).

I have searched the site, but there doesn't seem to be much information about horseriding.

Thanks for your help

are 2 good sites.

You should be able o find somehting around Udaipur or Jaipur. The Maharana of Udaipur has a good stock of Marwari horses. Might be worth contacting him to see if you could have a go at riding.

Always wanted to buy a Marwri horse they are fantastic looking animals.

Stay at Rang Niwas in Udaipur and they can arrange horseback riding in their village.
