We reached Kanha in the morning and had asked our lodge in Kanha to send a car to meet us at Gondia station. If you reach at 11 pm I dont think you can travel to Kanha the same night. Not sure about accomodation in Gondia there may be some hotels in town or at the station retiring rooms. There are buses in the morning which go from Gondia to Balagaht and then onto Baihar and Kisli ( Kanha). If you are a group of 4-5 people it is best to hire a car.

Distance between Gondia to Kanha is 130 Km and takes slightly more than 3 hours. This is not commonly used by the visitors, so there are no standard charges for transport to Kanha. Private taxis are available outside the station that will charge between Rs 1800 - 2400. The other option is to take a share taxi to Balaghat and avail onward transport from Balaghat.
Pacific Hotel Rail Toli, Gondia 07182-21616, 20006 Jaison Hotel Near City Police Station, Gondia 07182-23601, 24813 Swaruchi Hotel S. S. Girls College Road, Gondia 07182-21131, 20131 |

Dear Reshma
Gondia is not a tourist place and i'm not sure if you will get any good accommodation or not. Normally people coming from Bangalore to Kanha chose to fly to Nagpur and then you can ask the lodge/resort where you staying in kanha to arrange for a taxi to pick you up. Nagpur to Kanha is 265 Kms (5 hrs drive) Do advise for any furthur information If anyways you are keen on chosing gondia only as your base destination then you can get in touch with Mr. Bajaj 09822228146 he will arrange for a taxi for you to reach kanha. |
