Hi Rehena
I managed to get a hold of Ramesh, and he will be back sometime late on Friday. He is unable to answer many emails at the moment so you are not alone. Dont panic it will all work out in the end.

The last thing he would want is bad publicity and such slow replying is unforgiveable, he will be more upset than you are because he is a stickler for prompt replies.

It does just go to show he is not a travel agent though.
But having said that they usually take months to send replies themselves

I have to agree with fugly concerning the African safaris.
Safaris in Kruger cost 180 ZAR per person for 3 hours 5-8 am in a safari truck from one of the camps but then you need to be at one of the camps which is another 7-800 ZAR per night.

When you start adding up all the costs for a trip into corbett it certainly adds up to quite a lot even without adding in the taxes which is another thing many forget to factor into the cost when checking prices on the net.

I say avoid corbett at all costs and tell others to stay away too. Ramesh and his crew are far too expensive and you would be better to go to any other park and use any other guides that you can find

Sounds like a winner to me !

Ramesh does so much for the local community at Corbett tiger reserve. He is currently putting 10 orphans through school, just installed a water purifier, and cooler in the local school. He needs all the help he can get.
He is the best guide at Corbett if you are looking to visit.
Any profits go towards the kids in the village, so one day they can say "I was educated by tigers".
It may be a coincidence, but since starting tigersincorbett, tiger numbers there, have risen dramatically.
I wonder why your change of tune Tigerman? All I can say is we found our trip to be probably the best value trip we have ever had. I have looked into the other reserves and most seem to be more crowded and some put on too much of a circus for my liking.

Hi Tigerman
How are you, and what have you been up to ?

Tripsammy, dont waste your curiosity on Tigerman, he is only being facetious. He is a regular visitor to Corbett, always uses Tigersincorbett, is a great campaigner for the cause, and contributes generously.

Hi, I am looking to visit Utterakhand in the new year, what is the best time to go and how far ahead should we be booking to make sure we can get into the FRH's. I would love to spend 3 or 4 days at Corbett.

Hope you have good sightings especially of the Elephants. I guess no Tiger sightings in Rajaji ? But have heard that sometimes Leopard sightings are there.

Ronak.

Good luck arun
Talking to Ramesh last night, he told me there have been many good sightings in Jhirna zone.Cubs galore apparently.
He says they have spotted roughly 20 young tigers in the last few weeks, across the various zones. A couple of Tigresses with 3 & 4 cubs apiece amongst them.

I cannot believe you have been to so many places and not seen any tigers ?
That has gotta change buddy and soon.
