Hi IndiaMikers
I have read the posts on Corbett and they are all fairly old and often the links in the posts no longer exist.
We are travelling to Corbett in November - the first week in November. We cannot go later when the Dhikala zone opens as we will have already returned to Australia by the 15th of November.
We have contacted Tripsammy's guide without much result so we are looking for other good guides who will provide some sort of itinerary and who will book the necessary jeeps and if possible elephant safari as well as have transport from Ramnagar Station to the accommodation on the day of arrival and also book some transport at the end of the tour to Nainital for us.
Any help would be appreciated.

Dhikala does not open before 15 November so I am afraid you are outta luck there. You could have a look in at the other zones though. The best option would be to make your own online bookings and then get in touch with a driver, he will handle the rest. Elephant safari is available only at Dhikala.

Smile

Thanks Incog and Vishva
We have decided to put Corbett on hold for this trip and are turning our attentions to Tadoba and Pench.

Peter/Chris, did you get anywhere? I want someone to sort me out with 4 days of fun in and around the park in early Jan. I know it is really short notice, but it's worth trying, right? Would love to stay right in the forest at least one night and have an elephant safari. I've recently messaged from http://www.tigersincorbett.com/contact-us.html but so far no response. I'm happy to pay a wee bit extra to have my trip planned for me this time as I'm travelling with my kids (7 and 10 year old boys).

This seems harder than it should be, even for India ;-)

Make your own reservations, as a foreigner it should be no problem. Do it in Dhikala and you can make the elephant ride too. Bijrani also has elephant rides but is not nearly as much fun.
